“Every single pixel will be generated soon. Not rendered: generated” - Jenson Huang
GameNGen is the first game engine powered by a neural model that enables real-time interaction between complex environments.
It generates game levels in real-time. The scientists from Deep Mind and Tel Aviv University are using a stable diffusion model with input detection. Another impressive aspect of this GameNGen model is that it simulates the game DOOM at over 20 frames per second on a single TPU.
Why is this important:
This is the beginning of every single pixel that will be generated as Jenson Huang predicted in 2023. This applies to video games, movies, shows, and social media posts. Even the King of social media Mark Zuckerberg is experimenting with AI influencers and ai-generated content on its platforms. This benefits Meta because they won’t be as reliant on influencers and the user will receive more personalized content.
In the upcoming years, we will have the ability to generate movies. One of the major problems with modern movies is that they release big-budget films to attract the largest gate during the opening weekend. This dilutes the movie experience for the average viewer. This happens because the DVD market is nonexistent, hence they lost a significant chunk of their revenue. If AI-generated content can save them money, which will lower their costs, allowing studios to produce more movies.
Here is Matt Damon explaining the current crisis in film making:
Upcoming Trends:
Fundraising: Both coding agent providers Magic and Codeium raised capital. OpenAI is looking to raise capital at a $100 billion valuation.
Q/A: Google allows you to chat with your emails from the Gmail app using an Android device.
Commoditizon of LLMs: Both OpenAI and Google reduced their prices to stay attractive to customers this month.
