AI targeting Autodealerships

Numa offers customer service software that is tailored towards auto dealerships. They help dealerships answer every query that comes their way. Currently, they are partnering with Nissan, Jeep, Toyota, Chevrolet, and Kia. They have also raised $32 million in Series B funding.

They use generative AI to answer phone calls and detect the intent of their customer. Moreover, they also offer tools to help customers book appointments. Bret Taylor’s Sierra is working on customer service too and raised hundreds of millions of dollars for a seed round. They went a generalist route such as having a diverse set of customers. Over time, we are going to find out which approach is better.

Why it matters?

Auto dealerships are a large market, but most tech companies do not operate in this space. This exemplifies AI’s reach and how customer service will automated in the foreseeable future.

Create Faceless Content

A person creating faceless content

A platform called Destovery allows creators or brands to create faceless content. Users first create an influencer and then specify what the video is about. After the specifications, a video is generated to be posted on TikTok.

This allows creators who are shy and unwilling to show their faces to create content and potentially build an audience to engage with. This is one of the ways AI will impact social media with content rather than a platform switch.

Why it matters:

The engagement AI-generated content receives is incredible and AI has started to penetrate Hollywood with Runway signing a deal with Lionsgate. Platforms like Destovery allow creators to create content while keeping their privacy and it also reduces the time it takes to create a TikTok video.

Upcoming Trends to watch out for

  • More Software: It will become easier to develop software thus to have successful products it needs to be in a vertical rather than horizontal

  • CTO leaves before DevDay: More Execs leave OpenAI, but it’s rare for the CTO to leave before DevDay. These aren’t good signs for OpenAI, especially when your co-founders are joining your biggest competitor.
